Are you living in any of the following situations?
  • In a shelter
  • In a motel or campground due to the lack of an alternative adequate accommodation
  • In a car, park, abandoned building, or bus or train station
  • Doubled up with other people due to loss of housing or economic hardship
If you answered yes to any of these, your school district is required to make sure you can get to and from school, and make sure you have what you need to do well in your classes. Call the students in transition specialist or homeless liaison from your school district to set up these services.

Having an issue at school that isn't being addressed? 
Request services from the Office of the Education Ombuds (an educational advocate from the state) to help resolve your issue. Fill out the Online Intake Form and someone will follow up with you within three business days to either provide information or schedule an appointment. If you need assistance completing the online intake form or prefer to talk to someone in person, please call 1.866.297.2597.

A therapeutic day treatment school teaching students self-regulation and coping skills so they can better navigate challenging social situations. Provides weekly one-to-one mental health check-ins for all students. Most students typically spend between nine to 15 months at Fir Grove before returning to their home school.

Students take their courses through Legacy Online and will have a minimum of one half day (at teacher’s discretion) of on campus attendance per week. While on campus, students meet with their online teachers, have time to work on their classes, go over what they have been learning, evaluate their progress and set new goals for the week. Typically for 11th and 12th grade, though exceptions can be made.

For 18- to 21-year-olds with developmental disabilities wanting or needing to learn everyday living skills and skills to be productive in the workplace. Many students who graduate from the program will have jobs and independent living arrangements.

​A student’s schedule is broken up into three main components: advisory, class time and flex time. Advisory is led by the teacher advisor and focuses on building academic, organizational, collaborative and community skills. Class time is led by class teachers with an emphasis on supporting course learning targets. Flex time is provided by the classroom teacher to work on computer-based coursework, group projects and one-on-one meetings with teachers or tutors. Students attend five full days from 9:30 am to 4:10 pm. Grades 9-12.

This course helps students prepare to take the official GED exam at Clark College. Students will work independently and with the Certificated Teacher of Record/EED Instructor, for a combined minimum of 30 hours per week. As a result of this site-based course, students will be able to show passing scores (145/200 or 72.5%) on the individual GED sub-tests.
